Mikhail Zeldovich

Mikhail S Zeldovich is an American tech investor and ex-commodities exec, as well as a U.S. licensed attorney. He is currently focusing on managing a portfolio of South-East Asian startups in multiple sectors, and has been investing in the region for a decade.

Mikhail is on the Board of ARD Financial, a Mongolian financial and fintech invested holding, listed on the Ulaanbaatar stock exchange, as well as Advisor to the Board of ARD Credit, one of Mongolia’s top micro-credit NBFIs. Having been an early stage investor in microcredit NBFIs in Estonia, Latvia, and Kyrgyzstan, he is currently an investor in fintech companies UangCermat and PasarMikro in Indonesia, while also on the board of seed-stage tech investment funds Cocoon I and II, as well as an advisor to a deeptech VC investment, Elev8 VC.

Prior to that, Mikhail was a Business Development executive at Trafigura, opening 4 new offices and starting multiple new trading businesses in 7 different jurisdictions, and an Emerging Markets Private Equity investor for the U.S. headquartered Capital International Group. His earlier career in Washington focused on international trade as a negotiator and Associate General Counsel at United States Trade Representative (USTR), and an international trade attorney prior to that at Dewey Ballantine.

Mikhail holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School, Masters from the Fletcher School, and a B.A. from the College of William & Mary.
